Thermally assisted Pauli spin blockade in double quantum dots

چکیده

We investigate the influence of thermal energy on current flow and electron spin states in double quantum dots series. The quadruplet Pauli blockade, which is caused by doublet states, occurs at low temperatures affecting transport properties. As temperature increases, blockade as a result energy, even regions where it does not occur temperatures. This because triplet state formed one dot gradual change Fermi distribution function electrodes with increasing temperature. Moreover, thermally assisted results coexistence Coulomb blockades. Conversely, for standard singlet through monotonously smears out increases. Therefore, clearly observed. However, blockades obtained calculation probability dots.

Spin-valley blockade in carbon nanotube double quantum dots

We present a theoretical study of the Pauli or spin-valley blockade for double quantum dots in semiconducting carbon nanotubes. In our model, we take into account the following characteristic features of carbon nanotubes: i fourfold spin and valley degeneracy of the quantum-dot levels, ii the intrinsic spin-orbit interaction which is enhanced by the tube curvature, and iii valley mixing due to ...

Removing spin blockade by photon-assisted tunneling in double quantum dots

One of the main properties of few electron quantum dots is the supression of charge current when the energy cost of introducing an extra electron in the system is large due to the charge repulsion inside the quantum dot (QD). In such a case, the system presents Coulomb blockade, showing characteristic curves where current only flows for certain values of the chemical potentials[1]. Between thes...

Pauli Spin Blockade in a Highly Tunable Silicon Double Quantum Dot

Double quantum dots are convenient solid-state platforms to encode quantum information. Two-electron spin states can be detected and manipulated using quantum selection rules based on the Pauli exclusion principle, leading to Pauli spin blockade of electron transport for triplet states. Coherent spin states would be optimally preserved in an environment free of nuclear spins, which is achievabl...

Pauli-spin blockade in a vertical double quantum dot holding two to five electrons

We use a vertical double quantum dot (QD) to study spin blockade (SB) for the twoto five-electron states. SB observed for the twoand four-electron states is both assigned to Pauli exclusion with formation of a spin triplet state, and lifted by singlet-triplet admixing due to fluctuating nuclear field. SB observed for the five-electron state is caused by combined Pauli effect and Hund’s rule. We...
